Elna ""Jean""� Bevard, age 83 of Cozad, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Golden Living Care Center in Cozad. Jean was born September 3, 1929 at Lexington, Nebraska to John and Jenny (Holster) Flynn. She attended Lexington High School. On December 14, 1946, Jean married Thomas F. Bevard, Sr. at Lexington. The couple made their home in Cozad where Jean was employed with Monroe Auto for 29 years where she held a multitude of different positions. While at Monroe""s she worked concurrently in housecleaning, all while raising her 5 children. Jean was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Cozad. She enjoyed doll making, sewing, embroidery, watching TV, and spending time with her family. Jean also spent a great deal of time working on her family""s genealogy and expanding her spoon collection. Memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation Jean""s memory. Condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Jean was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 2 son, Tom, Jr. in 2005, Bill in 2012; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers and 7 sisters. Survivors include her son, Victor Bevard of Cozad; 2 daughters, Linda (Gary) France of Papillion, Sally Maher of Lincoln; 15 Grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren; sister, Janice Bevard of Lincoln; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First Church of The Nazarene in Cozad with Pastor Rodney Mohler officiating. A private family inurnment will be held in the Cozad Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
