Warren ""Red""� Kloepping, age 90 of Cozad, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Cozad Community Hospital in Cozad. Red was born October 6, 1922 at Lexington, Nebraska to Burrell and Minnie (Pieper) Kloepping. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1939. In 1944, Red enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served our country until he was honorably discharged in 1946. Red married Anna Jewell Williams on April 2, 1947 at Holdrege, NE. This union was blessed with 6 children, Mary, Ross, Jon, Kris, Hans and Eric. Red worked for Monroe""s in Cozad for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time in his gardens and he was an avid reader. Red loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Red was a member of the Buffalo Grove Church and the American Legion. He was also a member of the Cozad Elks Lodge, #2250, where he served as a Charter Member. Red is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna Jewell in 2008; 2 brothers, Harold and Wilber; and a sister, Verna Hall. Survivors include his daughter, Mary Kloepping of Marshfield, WI; 5 sons, Ross (Gloria) Kloepping of rural Lexington, Jon (Jann) Kloepping, Kris (Susan) Kloepping, Hans (Cheryl) Kloepping all of Cozad and Eric (Lori) Kloepping of Gallatin, MO; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and one on the way; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory. Condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Graveside inurnment services with military honors will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Buffalo Grove Cemetery, east of Cozad.
