Darrell Lloyd ""Bubs""� Petersen, age 83 of Lexington, Nebraska passed away May 2, 2013 at the Lexington Regional Health Center. Darrell was born October 14, 1929 to Walter and Grace Petersen at Little Sioux, Iowa. In 1947, he married Lavonne White and was married 65 years. 2 children joined their young family, Linda Kneifl and David Petersen, and eventually 3 grandchildren, Jon, Seth and Christopher. Bubs was the Regional Produce Manager for Safeway Stores for 25 years. He was an exceptional golfer and card player, but family always came first. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Grace Petersen; sister, Yvonne (Kenny) Moore; and his beloved grandson, Christopher Lloyd Kneifl. Survivors include his loving wife, Lavonne of Lexington; daughter, Linda Kneifl of Lexington; son, David of Lexington; grandsons, Jon (Radana) Kneifl of Washington, D.C., Seth Petersen of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Delores (George) of Ft. Collins, CO; brother, Earl (Marge) Petersen of Baton Rouge, LA. Condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. A family memorial service will be held over Memorial Day.
