Jeffrey S. Debban

January 28, 1965 — February 19, 2013

Jeff Debban, age 48 of Eustis, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Jeff was born January 28, 1965 at Lexington, Nebraska to William and Lola (Hansen) Debban. He graduated from Elwood High School and attended Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte. Following Jeff""s education in North Platte, he began his career with John Deere, in Colorado, Yuba City, California, and Missoula, Montana. In 2000, Jeff returned to Eustis, where he worked at Nebraska Truck and Equipment. In 2004, Jeff met Celeste Darnall in Eustis; eventually marrying in 2010. Around the time of their nuptials, Jeff""s father had a heart attack and was confined to Bryan LGH Medical Center in Lincoln. They held an intimate wedding on July 22nd, right in the hospital, so that Bill could be a part of their union; then held a ceremony in Eustis just a few days later. Jeff eventually went to work for the LandMark Implement, where he served as the Service Manager. While Jeff""s life was cut too short, he lived it with passion. He was a tremendous Husker football fan, and could always be counted on by family and friends to know everything and everyone involved with the team. Jeff was also an avid Harley Davidson fan, and rode his bike with pride every chance he got. He was even a proud member of the Patriot Guard Motorcycle Club. Jeff was loving and generous; he cherished his time with his family, which included 4 very special dogs, and his many nieces and nephews. Jeff loved people, and his personality and sense of humor always shined when he was around them. He had a special gift for making others laugh, and he never lost it, even when his declining health had him confined to a hospital bed. Jeff loved to hunt and fly fish; he also loved camping and spending time at the family cabin at Plum Creek, usually accompanied by his loyal companion, ""Husker."" Jeff knew how to have fun in life, and one of his favorite times of the year was Halloween. He and Celeste would often plan their holiday festivities well in advance of the actual day, and had a great deal of fun over the years. When Jeff wasn""t having fun, or was engaged in a conversation that he didn""t want to continue, he would without fail say, ""How about those Huskers?"" Jeff loved participating in youth hunts, and was a supporter of Quails Unlimited. A memorial has been established in his memory. Condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. He was preceded in death by his father; infant sister, Debra Ann Debban; his grandparents; 2 uncles, Ralph and Alan Debban; 2 aunts, Ardis Jenkins and Eunice Stoll. Survivors include his wife, Celeste of Eustis; mother, Lola Debban of Elwood; 3 sisters, Valorie (Rob) Wallace of Fayetteville, GA, Lisa Koch of Kearney and Jane Raine of Curtis; brother, Keith (Lisa) Debban of San Diego, CA; aunt, Dorothy ""Dode"" Getty of Grand Island; parents in law, Bryan and Deb Darnall of Eustis; sister-in-law, Nicky (Ross) Collins of Eustis; 4 beloved dogs, Husker, Ollie, Reece and Krinkles of Eustis; close friends, Mike Koch of Eustis and Dana Hunzker of Lincoln and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
