Rosie Doudney, age 52 of Cozad, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Cozad Community Hospital. Rosie was born July 4, 1960 at Denver, Colorado to Donald and Connie (Carter) Doudney. She graduated with the Cozad High School Class of 1978. Following high school, Rosie married Larry Seacrest and resided in Cozad. She later married Keith Pflaster at Cozad. Rosie would eventually move to Colorado where she was employed at Denver Plastics. It was during her time in Colorado that she was diagnosed with cancer. Rosie won the hard fought battle against cancer, but her health would never be the same, forcing her to end her working career. She moved to Cozad to be close to family, residing at Haymaker Haven for many years. Despite the adversity that always seemed present in Rosie""s life, she lived with passion and without regrets. She was very kind and giving, never hesitating to offer what she had for the benefit of a friend. Rosie loved spending time with her family, friends and her beloved cats. Rosie was a member of the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Cozad. A memorial has been established in her memory. Condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Rosie was preceded in death by her Parents; brother-in-law, Lorand; and 2 uncles, Neal and Paul Carter. Survivors include her 3 sisters, Deb Doudney of Sherman, TX, Pam Welch of Cozad, Ada Doudney of Lexington; 2 brothers, Chuck (Cheryl) Doudney of Cozad, Bob (Lisa) Doudney of Gothenburg; 12 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews; and several other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Elder Thomas Bond officiating. Inurnment will be in the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation for memorial book signatures will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.
