Dolly Mae Zlomke, age 79 of Cozad, passed away November 19, 2013. Dolly was born on November 20, 1934 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Sherman and Nancy (Earl) Putmam. She grew up in the Gothenburg and Cozad area and married Daniel Zlomke on November 13, 1950. The couple made their home in Gothenburg where Dolly raised her family. After her husband passed away in 1968, she moved to Darr to live with her sister Virginia. After her sister passed away in 1999, Dolly lived with her nephew Glen. They eventually moved to Gothenburg in 2002. Dolly attended the 1st Baptist Church in Lexington. She loved visiting with friends and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching westerns. Dolly is survived by her son Lorence Lyle (Raquel) Zlomke of Houston, TX; 2 brothers Clarence “Casey” (Wilma) Putnam of Cozad and Leonard (Linda) Putnam of Hildreth, NE; step grandson Doak Hafley of Houston, TX; great grandson Christopher Hafley of Houston, TX; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Daniel; 2 brothers, Ben and Lester; 2 sisters Virginia Smith and Mary Jane Putnam; step granddaughter Emily Loran Hafley; and 2 nephews Don and Edward Smith. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Pastor A.L. Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Peckham Cemetery near Gothenburg. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family receiving visitors from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad.
