Pamela J. Maendele, age 54 of Cozad, passed away March 7, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Pam was born May 30, 1959 to Richard and Patsy (Kahre) Maendele at Omaha, Nebraska. The family eventually moved to Cozad. Pam graduated from Cozad High School in 1977. Pam was a dispatcher for Cozad Police Department and Dawson County Sheriff's Department for over 21 years. Pam was a member of the Church of Christ in Cozad. Pam was a loving mother and grandmother, her granddaughters were the apple of her eye. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Pam is lovingly survived by her mother, Pat (Barney) McNulty; sons Bill (Jami) of Kearney and Rickey (Colleen) of Le Mars, IA; granddaughters Serina, Hailey and Aniston; sister Jill (Rick) Esslinger of Cozad; uncle Gene Kahre of Cozad; aunt Sharon (Leonard) Kinser of Cozad; niece Mica Esslinger of Cozad; special friends Deb White of Overton and Peggy Rice of Kearney. Pam was preceded in death by her father Richard Maendele. Services will be Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ on Newell with Pastor James McCrickard officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad. A memorial has been established in her memory.
