Lola M. Bartlett of Cozad passed away July 23, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Cozad at the age of 80. Lola was born October 19, 1933 to William and Alma (Grabenstein) Berke in rural Dawson County, Nebraska. Lola graduated from Eustis High School where she was active in music and 4-H. She married Lyle Bartlett on August 23, 1953 at Cozad. Lola enjoyed spending time at Midway Lake camping and fishing. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Lola attended Cozad United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Daniel Berke. Survivors include husband Lyle; 3 sons, Kent (Penny)Bartlett of Cozad, Ronald Bartlett of Cozad and Bruce (Pam) Bartlett of Lincoln, NE; 5 granddaughters, Dawn Bartlett, Angie Drahota, Lisa (Gabe) Bartlett, Melanie (Mike) Anderson and Brandy (Phil) Crumbliss; 8 great grandchildren, Ben, Jack, Jesse, Issac, Adam, Lucas, Lilly and Jaxon; brother Dennis (Nadine) Berke of Cozad, sister-in-law Dorthea Berke of Arizona; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services will be Friday, July 25, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Cozad United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 at Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cozad United Methodist Church.
