Angie Beans, age 86 of the Cozad and Lexington area, passed away December 2, 2014 at Good Samaritan Society in Woodriver, Nebraska. Angie was born January 22, 1928 to Andrew and Mary (Milletti) Dorsey and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn, New York in 1945. Angie married Kenneth L. Beans on November 23, 1947. Survivors include her husband Kenneth L. Beans of Woodriver; 3 children, Kenneth John (Eleanor) of the Philippines, Peggy (Brad) Cole of Cairo, NE, and Debby (Terry) Princ of Lincoln, NE; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and Sandy Keiswetter, who was like a daughter to Angie. She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Mary Dorsey; brothers, Jim Dorsey and Rick Dorsey; daughter Kathleen Shoup; daughter-in-law Renee Hardesty Beans and grandson Edward Beans. Services will be Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cozad United Methodist Church with Pastors Darrell Holzinger and Doug Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 at Berryman Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to "Caring For Kylee" at 1971 260th St., Denver, IA 50622. Kylee is 9 years old and battling cancer since January 2013. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
