Marilyn Nyla Oberhauser

Marilyn N. Oberhauser, age 78 of Eustis, passed away December 7, 2014 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. Marilyn was born February 29, 2014 in Cozad, Nebraska to Leonard and Addie (McKinney) Cochrane. She spent her younger years in Cozad before the family moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska where she graduated from high school. On July 24, 1954 Marilyn married Glenn Oberhauser. The couple made their home on the Oberhauser family farm near Eustis, Nebraska. Marilyn and Glenn celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2014 and also 60 years of living on the farm. In August of 2014, Marilyn and Glenn moved to Hastings, Nebraska. Marilyn was a full time wife and mother for many years. Then she became employed at the Eustis Senior Center for 15 years as the head cook before retiring. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eustis. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Glenn of Hastings, NE; daughter Fay (Delmar) Kliewer of Aurora, NE; son Dennis (Katie) Oberhauser of Hastings, NE; brother Robert Cochrane of Overton, NE; brother Dale (Beverly) Cochrane of Eustis; brother-in-law Richard Cawley of Lebanon, OR; sister-in-law Joan (Robert) Young of Hopatcong, New Jersey; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials are suggested to the family. Graveside memorial services will be Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the East Cemetery in Eustis with Pastor Neil Kloppenborg officiating.
