Frank Springer, age 64 of Cozad, passed away December 20, 2014 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Frank was born June 16, 1950 in McCook to Don and Rose (Larson) Springer. He attended school in Cozad and graduated with the class of 1967. In 1968, Frank entered the U.S. Marines and served 2 tours during Vietnam. Following his discharge in 1973, he went to work at Monroe Auto in Cozad. He retired from the plant after 25 years and attended Kearney State College for 2 years. Frank enjoyed hunting and was an avid reader. Survivors include 1 sister, Cheryl (Chuck) Doudney of Cozad; 2 brothers, Gerald (Alice) Springer of Dunning, NE and Harry Springer of Cozad; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial has been established in his memory. Cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Monday from 9-5 at Berryman Funeral Home.
