Connie R. Wuehler

Connie Wuehler, age 66 of Cozad passed away January 12, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Cozad. Connie was born January 23, 1948 in O'Neill, Nebraska to Virgil and Edna (Bouslaugh) Wilson. She attended Cozad High School. On September 30, 1968 Connie married Verlin Wuehler in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple made their home in Cozad. After the birth of her children, Connie attended beauty school and later opened her own salon in downtown Cozad. She also sold insurance, worked at Ron's Spas and Pools and cooked at the Detour Lounge. Connie also worked as a caregiver for patients at their homes. Connie was always there for her family and was always willing to take people into her home to help them. She loved her family very much and cherished time spent with them, especially her grandchildren. Connie enjoyed going south to Las Vegas during the winter. She loved gambling, golfing and bowling. She was also a member of the B.P.O.E Does Drove #177. Memorials are suggested to the American Lutheran Church or Central Plains Home Health and Hospice. Survivors include son Jeff Wuehler of San Diego, CA; daughter Janel (Mike) Moore of Las Vegas, NV; siblings, Carol Carbaugh of Lexington, Kathy (Gary) Hosick of Cozad, Christy (Ron) Tucker of Cortez, CO, Cecil Wilson of Parker, CO, Craig (Kathleen) Wilson of Gothenburg, Cindy (Jimmy) Pool of Corpus Cristi, Tx; 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Faith and Hannah Wuehler of San Diego and Alexis, Jalen and Jaxson Moore of Las Vegas; numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and daughter Janae. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the American Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Parsh officiating. Inurnment will be at the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 8 at Berryman Funeral Home. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
