Ina M. Mace

Ina M. Mace, age 95 of Cozad, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Elwood Care Center. Ina was born May 6, 1919 at North Platte, Nebraska to Leo and Edna (Lemmon) Drake. She graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1937. She attended Kearney State College in pursuit of a degree in psychology. In July of 1939, Ina married James "Jim" Mace at North Platte. The couple lived in Hyannis, Nebraska and moved to Cozad in 1959. Ina was a loving and devoted mother. She was a designer and seamstress. Ina was an avid reader and life long learner. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim; 2 sons, Jim and Mike Mace; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include 2 daughters, Shirley (Raymond) Zeigler of Cozad and Gail (Jim) Lauby of Elwood; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Cremation was chosen. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
