Esther M. Grabenstein, age 88 of Eustis, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Elwood Care Center. Esther was born August 1, 1926 in rural Gosper County to Edward H. and Theodora (Pfeiffer) Stoll. She attended Gosper and Salem parochial schools. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Elwood. Following graduation from Elwood High School, she was employed as secretary/bookkeeper at Salisbury and Almquist Implement Company in Elwood. On December 11, 1949, she was united in marriage to George Grabenstein at Salem Lutheran Church. To this union five children were born. Following the death of her husband in 1963, she was employed at Grabenstein Service, Farmers Coop Association and Eustis 66. She was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Eustis Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband George; her parents; infant brother Andrew, and son-in-law Bruce Hansen. She is survived by her brother, Oscar Stoll; children Kenneth Grabenstein, Brenda Grabenstein, Kurt Grabenstein (Barbara Hartman), Kathlyn Grabenstein (Steven Papian), and Kim Hansen; and grandchildren Cory and Evan Grabenstein and Anthony and Nora Papian. Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Eustis with Kathy Gundell, P.M.A. officiating. A private family inurnment will be held prior to the service. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until service time at St. John's Lutheran Church.
