Shirley M. Johnson

Shirley M. Johnson, 88, a resident of St. Luke's Care Center in Kearney, passed away August 4, 2015. She was born December 30, 1926 to Arthur and Rose (Smock) Johnson and was raised on a farm near Oconto, Nebraska, attending rural school. In 1946 she moved with her sister and parents to Cozad. She later moved to Lexington where she lived before moving to Kearney. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Rose Johnson, her sister Vivian Johnson and her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Edna Johnson. Survivors include 3 nephews, Marvin (Linda) Johnson of Broken Bow, Darrel (Christianna) Johnson of Oconto and Gregory (Tammy) Johnson of Oconto and 6 great nieces and nephews and many other relatives. The family would like to extend our deepest thank you to the staff at St. Luke's Care Center for all their loving care. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice. Graveside memorial services will be Monday, August 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. the Cozad Cemetery with Pastor Victor Rasmussen officiating. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
