Bonnie L. Hall, age 79 of Cozad, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. She was born October 17, 1935 at Cozad, Nebraska to Warren and Helen (Hart) Wilkins and graduated from Eustis High School. Bonnie worked in Holdrege as a cook at multiple businesses. While in Holdrege, she attended beauty school and worked as a beautician at the Holdrege care home. She moved back to Cozad in 1974 and went to work at Monroe Auto doing multiple jobs. Bonnie loved spending time with her family, cooking, camping and quilting. She was an avid country music fan and often visited the country music festival in Ainsworth. She won multiple awards through the North Platte Telegraph for her recipes. She attended at least 2 water aerobics classes a week at the Eustis Swimming Pool. Bonnie loved making people laugh and never passed on an opportunity to tell a good joke. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald Hall; son Kevin Wheeler; granddaughter Shanna E. Streit and brother Lyle Wilkins. Survivors include her daughter Darla (Roy) Dewey of Cozad and son James (Ann) Wheeler of Cozad; sister, Marie Robinson of Eudora, KS; grandchildren, Shane Streit, Shad Streit, Carrie Hardage, Maggie Leibhart, Crystal Fischer, August Dewey, Sky Dewey; step-grandchildren, Roy Dewey III and Heidi Urich; great grandchildren, Emily and Drew Hardage, Devin Lytton, Kira Stevenson, Wyatt Leibhart, Alex, Colby and Brendan Streit, Donovan, Hannah and Kevin Fischer, Marlena and Chance Gray; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Cozad United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, south of Cozad. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
