Tim Thramer, 51, of Cozad, Nebraska, died October 10, 2015 in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of cancer. Timothy Joseph Thramer was born November 28, 1963 in Neligh, Nebraska to Cletus and Yvonne (Mlnarik) Thramer. He graduated from Ewing High School in 1981 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Agronomy from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1986. On November 13, 1993 he married Cynthia Rae Yocom at Gothenburg, Nebraska. To this union they were blessed with three daughters, Molly Rebecca, Hannah Nicole and Abby Ann. Tim's life was devoted to Agriculture. In 1991 he started his own crop consulting business, Thramer Agronomics. After several years of field scouting he became a sales representative for Dupont Pioneer. He was a past officer of the Nebraska Independent Crop Consultant Association, active in Nebraska and Dawson County Corn Growers and was a member of the Chamber Ag Committee. Tim was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Cozad Elks Lodge and was a past board member of the Cozad Country Club. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid fan of sports of all kinds, especially those of his daughters. Tim was a devoted husband and father and his sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. Tim is survived by his loving wife of nearly 22 years Cindy, daughters Molly, Hannah and Abby all of Cozad, his mother Yvonne Thramer of Ewing, Nebraska, mother-in-law Betty Yocom of Cozad; brothers Greg (Carm) Thramer of Ewing, NE, Larry (Heidi) Thramer of North Platte, NE; sisters Becky (Randy) Kaczor, Connie (Terry) Kaczor and Tammy (Mike) Summers all of Ewing; and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, clients and friends. He was proceeded in death by his father Clet, his father-in-law David Yocom and his grandparents. A memorial has been established in his memory for later designation. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Mike Pampara and Father Don O'Brien as celebrants. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, south of Cozad. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
