Carolyn A. 'Babe' Lindstedt passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at her home in Cozad at the age of 75. Babe was born June 14, 1940 at Cozad, Nebraska to Harold and Helen (Sill) Jensen. She graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1958. On April 17, 1960, Babe married Gordon Lindstedt. Babe attended cosmetology school in Grand Island, Nebraska. She owned and operated her own beauty shop, Cozad Beauty Salon, for 47 years. She was a member of the Cozad Blazerettes and a charter member of Dawson County Crime Stoppers. She was also involved with the Nurture Team at the Cozad United Methodist Church. Babe was an amazing cook, making everything from scratch, and was well known for her chocolate pies. When they went camping, she took the kitchen with her. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays, gardening, and working on crossword puzzles. She delivered for Pizza Hut, just to pass the time. Babe was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Gordon of Cozad; son, Scott (Tracy) Lindstedt of Cozad; daughter, Paige (John) Sweeney of Lincoln; brother, Dean (Lona) Jensen of Cozad; sister, Marlene Geiger of Cozad; brother-in-law, Trent (Pam) Lindstedt of North Platte; grandchildren, Sydney and Jake Lindstedt and Johanna and Kynsleigh; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Central Plains Home Health and Hospice of Cozad. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cozad United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. A private family committal service will be held at the Cozad Cemetery prior to the memorial service. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
