Beverly J. Thompson, age 79 of Johnson Lake, passed away December 13, 2015 at the Elwood Care Center. Beverly was born October 6, 1936 at Bennington, Nebraska to Delmar and Frances (Boston) Dodson. She married Don Boerkircher and was blessed with 4 children, Susan, Tracy, David and Mathew. Beverly attended college in Kearney and Arizona and earned a nursing degree. She was an R.N. in Yuma, Arizona and at the nursing homes in Elwood and Lexington. She made her home in Eustis before moving to Arizona in 1985. She married Ron Thompson. In 1999, she moved to Johnson Lake. She enjoyed being at the lake and taking short weekend trips with the camper. She loved her grandchildren and her dogs. Most of all, she loved her lord and savior, Jesus Christ and help spread that love to her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Delmar and Frances Dodson; her husband, Ron Thompson; her sister, Bonnie DeFruiter and granddaughter, Jennifer Strong. Survivors include her 2 sons, David (Kelly) Boerkircher of St. Joseph, MO and Mathew (Sherry) Boerkircher of Aurora; 2 daughters Susan (Frank) Strong of Eustis and Tracy (John) Deseck of Oakland, CA, 13 grandchildren and 1 sister, Jacqueline (Keith) Swanson of Manhattan, KS. Services will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Wolff officiating. Burial will follow at the East Cemetery, Eustis. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
