Ivan E. “Ike” Snider, 58, of Holdrege, formerly of Holbrook, passed away Dec. 22, 2015 at home. He was born Dec. 30, 1956 to Ivan L. and Phyllis (Arnold) Snider at Lexington. He graduated from Beaver City High School with the class of “75”. He was married to Rhonda Becker and to this union three children were born, Karen, Clint and Justina. Ike worked for Shotkoski Hay Company in Lexington for many years, then moving to Holbrook and was employed by Reese Trucking. He was an outdoorsman and loved to camp, fish and hunt. He participated in the trap shooting league at the Arapahoe Area Izaak Walton Gun Club. Ike loved to spend time with family and friends and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play. He is survived by his parents of Alma; his three children, Karen (Troy) Tickle of North Platte; Clint (Brianne) Snider of Cozad and Justina (Jackson Johnson) Snider of McCook; grandchildren, Drew, Jenna and Sutton Tickle, Ashtyn, Bryson and Braiton Snider and Nudge; his loving companion, Karen Buettner; and her two sons, Niles (Nicole) Buettner and their daughter, Kortlyn all of Holdrege and Brett (Samantha) Buettner and their children, Merick and Blair of Loomis; four sisters, Mary (John) Weeder, Monie Burns all of Alma, Jody Audet of Castle Rock, CO and Vicky (Tim) Chapman of Edison; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his two dogs, Snide and Lady. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Todd. We want to thank all of his friends and family for their love and support through this journey. A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad. Family burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery prior to the services. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
