Johnny M. Frees, of Cozad, passed away February 3, 2016 at the age of 51. Johnny was born May 3, 1964 at Denver, Colorado to Johnny and Goldie (Applegarth) Frees. He attended school in Albany, Oregon. Johnny moved to Cozad and went to work for Paulsen Construction. He enjoyed cooking and listening to music. Johnny was a giving person who would help anyone in need. He treasured time spent with family, especially his great niece, Bryanna. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jimmy (Candy) Frees and infant sister, Sharon Rice. Survivors include his fiancèe, Mel Engelman of Cozad and her children, Chance and Gavin Engelman; siblings, Rebecca (John) Boyles of Cozad, Cindy Timmer of Lincoln, Jack (Trina) Terry of Albany, OR and Francis (Stan) Lesley of Utah; nieces and nephews, Misty (Jessie) Ice of Cozad, Jessica (Shane) McConnell of Albany, OR, Angie (Robert) Richie of Arlington, AR, Tyler Holbrook of Lincoln, Jack Terry Jr. of Albany, OR; great nieces and nephews, Dominic, Alexis, Gracie, Brandy, Robert Jr. 'Bubba', Hammish, Bryanna and Tessa.
