Walter N Penner

Walter N. 'Thunderbird' Penner passed away April 18, 2016 at his home in Cozad at the age of 86. T-bird was born May 23, 1929 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He entered the U.S. Navy in July of 1946 at Huntington Park, California and was honorably discharged in 1950. T-bird was proud of his military background. He resided in Colorado until 1999, when he and his wife Linda Bergeron moved to Cozad. She passed away in 2006. In September of 2014, T-bird married Judy Predmore. He was a deeply religious man and was a minister for many years. He enjoyed jewelry making and spending time with family and friends. T-bird was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Bergeron. Survivors include his wife, Judy of Cozad; adopted daughters, Deanne Glasier and family of Colorado and Linda Hawks and family of Oklahoma; stepchildren, Bruce and Katie Predmore and family of Florida, Tony Predmore of Nevada, and Janet and Tom Ramirez and family of Cozad. Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Rodney Mohler officiating. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
