William 'Will' Lee Pil-Jae Brittain

William Lee Pil-Jae Brittain of Cozad passed away August 24, 2016, after a long battle with Leukemia, at the age of 42. Will was born on May 11, 1974 in Seoul, South Korea. He was adopted on April 10, 1975 by Jo Ann Parker. Jo Ann picked Will up at the airport in Kansas City with his soon-to-be brother Robert. He attended school in Ogallala through the 8th grade and graduated from Cozad High School in 1993. Will joined the Army National Guard while in High School and later enlisted in the active duty Army. He graduated from Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and served overseas in Korea. Will moved to Troy, New York where he met and married his wife, Kiki in 2005. The couple moved to Thailand where he became a school teacher to many wonderful students. On December 31, 2014, he was diagnosed with Leukemia and moved back to Nebraska to receive immediate Medical treatment. Will enjoyed world traveling and could pack a tight suitcase. He loved shopping even if he didn't need anything, to give to his family and friends. Will loved to cook, and was a great chef with almost everything made from scratch. He was a loyal and generous friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Will was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Dorothy Buntgen. He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann (Gene) Parker of Cozad; brother, Robert (Shellie) Brittain of Gothenburg; aunt, Lynne (Jim) Tsapelas and their children Elias and Talia; step sisters, Rebecca (Mike) Lenhart of Minatare, Amy Parker of Ansley, Lucrecia (Chad) Spady of Minatare and Elisa Geisler of Minatare along with numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen. There will be a Celebration of Life event at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is assisting the family.
