William A. Kostman

William A. Kostman, Sr. of Cozad passed away September 28, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney at the age of 64. Bill was born October 3, 1951 at Omaha, Nebraska. He moved to Cozad in 1961 and attended school. Bill worked various jobs including H & H Salvage. He was most proud to work for Joe Allen on his farm. He enjoyed hunting, working on antique tractors, motors, guns, and shopping on ebay. Bill loved music and taught himself to play the guitar. His most treasured times were spent with family and swimming at the lake. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Bernita June Kostman; grandparents, Mae and Emil Kostman; daughter, Shadow Dawn Kostman; sister, Rowena Bullington and 3 grandchildren. Survivors include his spouse, Tina Meyer of Cozad; children, Izzy Bray of Cozad, Jenny Hayes of Cozad, Billie (Tim) Land of Cozad, William Kostman, Jr. of Cozad, Bobbie (Moises) Samayoa of Lexington, Angel Poore of Cozad, Mary (Keith) Dickenson of West Point, Anina (Trevor Yeutter) Kostman of Cozad, Luke (Heather Wilson) Kostman of Cozad, Kent Kostman of Cozad; sister, Crystal Davis of AR; Brother, Matt Hayes of Cozad; 28 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; Aunt, Virginia Buss of Cozad; Uncle, Rodney Kostman of Cozad; life long best friend, Richard Richards of Cozad and many other extended family and friends. Services will be Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Kathy Gundell, PMA officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1 to 8 at Berryman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
