Dianne E. Keller

May 2, 1956 — November 27, 2016

Dianne E. Keller lost her long battle with cancer and passed away at her home in Bellevue, Nebraska on November 27, 2016 at the age of 60. Dianne was born May 2, 1956 at Fort Morgan, Colorado. The family settled in Gothenburg, Nebraska where she attended school. Dianne learned how to sew in home economics and made her own clothes, including her prom dress. On August 10, 1974, she married Larry Keller at his parents home in Cozad. The couple were blessed with 2 children, Shawn and Heather. Dianne did childcare at their home until Heather was in school full time. She and Larry owned and operated several businesses together. The family enjoyed camping and traveling together, as Larry taught Tae Kwon Do. Dianne kept their home spotless, with the help of her children, listening to AC/DC while they cleaned. She was a kind and patient person, and treasured time spent with her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart and if it was up to her, they wanted for nothing. Dianne loved to spoil her dog, Jake. He had a special way of bringing her joy throughout the treatment of her illness. Dianne was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Bodfield; nephew, Robert Bodfield; and in-laws, Irene and Lloyd Keller. Survivors include her husband, Larry of Bellevue; son, Shawn (Gina) Keller of OH; daughter, Heather (Benjamin DeBolt) Geis of Tekamah, NE; grandchildren, Alexander Keller and Madison Geis; brother, Jim Burke of Cozad; sisters, Janice (John) Scott of Lexington, Linda (Paul) Treffer of Lexington, Mary (Mark) Davis of Grand Island and Kathy (Jeff) Stevenson of Lexington; and many other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed. A memorial has been established in her memory. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Services will be Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ on Newell with Pastor James McCrickard officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 8 at Berryman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
