Kelsey B Fiene

Kelsey B. Fiene of Gothenburg passed away December 6, 2016 at Cozad Care Center at the age of 53. Kelsey was born December 24, 1962 at Gordon, Nebraska to Donald and Marilyn (Harm) Fiene. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Gordon, Nebraska. He attended grade school at Lyons and Norfolk, Nebraska. The family moved to Lexington, Nebraska and he was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington in 1977. Kelsey graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1981. He was blessed with 2 daughters, Kristina and Kinsey. He worked for several hay companies from Stratford, TX , Gothenburg and Lexington. He married Sherry Dancer on Valentines Day in 2000. Kelsey enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing. He loved gardening and provided vegetables for the several farmers markets and senior center in Gothenburg, Nebraska. Kelsey will be missed by many, especially his faithful four legged friend, Foxy Foxtrot. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Fiene and stepmother, Louise Fiene; stepfather, Donald Frost; brothers Ashley and Deon Fiene; grandparents, Ernest and Clara Fiene and William and Rosella Harm; niece, Jacklyn Dawn Fiene and nephew, Riley Allen Fiene. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Fiene of Gothenburg; mother, Marilyn Frost of Elwood; 2 daughters, Kristina Fiene Castaneda and Kinsey Fiene; 3 grandchildren; step daughter, Dawn; his twin brother, Kevin (Mary) Fiene of Elwood and brother, Tyler (Tracy) Fiene of Plattsmouth; step sisters, Carol Frey of Emerson and Kay Hanson of Seward; step brothers, Dan Stevenson of Hastings, C.L. Stevenson of Grand Island, Doug Stevenson of Grand Island and Ron Frost of GA; sister-in-law, Sindy Fiene of Elwood; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Memorials are suggested to Central Plains Hospice. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Cottingham of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gothenburg officiating. Cremation was chosen. Inurnment will be at a later date. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Friday from 1 to 6 at Berryman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
