Sharon Kay Anderson of Cozad passed away January 31, 2017 at the Cozad Community Hospital at the age of 73. Sharon was born June 5, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska to Eugene and Eva (Stephens) Kahre. She attended Technical High School in Omaha. Sharon married Patrick Anderson and the couple was blessed with three children, Randy, Debra and Gary. Sharon worked at Vickers Inc. in Omaha while raising her 3 children. She later remarried Leonard Kinser and they retired in 2001 before moving to Cozad in 2009. Sharon enjoyed working on puzzles, playing solitaire and doing many kinds of crafts. She collected Emmett Kelly figurines and Lee Middleton dolls. She loved raising dogs and you would often find her sitting at the kitchen table, legs criss-crossed, with a Poodle or a Yorkie on her lap. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter; former husband, Patrick; niece, Pam Maendele and brother-in-law, Dick Maendele. Survivors include her sons, Randy (Tiffany) Anderson of Plattsmouth, NE and Gary (Kim) Anderson of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren, Brad (Kim) Anderson of Vacaville, CA, Autumn Anderson of Greeley, CO, Emily Anderson of Fort Collins, CO, and Nathan Anderson of Plattsmouth, NE; sister, Patsy (Barney) McNulty of Cozad; brother, Gene (Jennifer) Kahre of Omaha; nieces, Jill (Rick) Esslinger of Cozad and DeAnna Kahre of Chicago, IL: nephews, Brian (Shannon) Kahre of Norfolk, VA and Mike Kahre of Omaha; and many other relatives and close friends. Services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Christ on Newell with Pastor James McCrickard officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 8 with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 at Berryman Funeral Home.
