Dennis L Biesterfeld

Dennis L. Biesterfeld of Cozad passed away March 30, 2017 at Cozad Community Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 65. Dennis was born December 29, 1951 at Bismarck, North Dakota to Leo and Lorene (Erickson) Biesterfeld. He attended grade school in Wilton, North Dakota and graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1970. Dennis worked at Paulsen, Inc., Hi-Gain Feedlot and All Points Cooperative until his retirement. He was a Jack-of-all-trades, enjoyed woodworking, yard work and especially cooking. Dennis watched the Food Network and made all of his own meals. He enjoyed going for a drive around town and in the country but his most treasured times were spent with family, friends and babysitting for his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodney; grandparents, Louis and Emma Biesterfeld, Iver and Nettie Erickson. Survivors include his siblings, Joyce (Jim) Campbell of Cozad, Janice (Larry) Werner of Cozad, Roger (Ramona) Biesterfeld of Auburn and Debbie (Larry) Tvrdy of Cozad; nieces and nephews, Lorie Campbell of Cozad, Kristie (Mike) Converse of Lexington, Jeff (Angela) Werner of Cozad, Kim (Kelly) Peden of Cozad, Jamion (Nikki) Biesterfeld of Lousiville, NE, Joe (Cheryl) Biesterfeld of Lenexa, KS, Chris (Emily) Tvrdy of Cozad, Jennifer (Dan) Voris of Cozad, Zach Tvrdy of Omaha, Alex, Greg and Elizabeth 'Biz' Tvrdy of Cozad; and many great nieces and nephews and extended family. A memorial has been established in his name. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Services will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James McCrickard officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Friday, April 7, 2017 from 1 to 8, with his sisters, Joyce Campbell, Janice Werner and Debbie Tvrdy, along with other family, receiving friends from 6 to 8 at Berryman Funeral Home.
