Joseph H. Campbell

Joseph H. Campbell passed away April 22, 2017 at his home in Cozad at the age of 27. Joe was born November 12, 1989 at Cozad, Nebraska to Denver Campbell and Elizabeth Cañas. Joe grew up in Cozad and graduated from Cozad High School. He worked at Cozad Elks Club, Subway and the Grain Elevator until 2010. Joe loved listening to music and helping with mechanic work and fishing with his brothers. Family and friends meant everything to Joe, he will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Cañas, Sanchez and Campbell. Survivors include his daughters, Kiley and Ember; parents, Liz (Tony) Luong of Crete; brothers, Adam (Julie Garza) Campbell of Cozad and Eric Campbell of Cozad; grandparents, Joe (Mary) Cañas of Cozad, Rosa (Bill Cornine) Sanchez of Cozad, Ernie and Alice Campbell of Cozad; aunts, Jennifer (Keo Xoumponpackdy) Cañas of Cozad, Tina Harden of Cozad and Melissa (Jeff Brown) Wergin of Lincoln; uncles, Andy Cañas and Charlie Cañas both of Gothenburg; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial has been established in his memory. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ on Newell with Pastor James McCrickard officiating. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 8 with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 at Berryman Funeral Home.
