Harvey A. Walter

Harvey A. Walter of Cozad passed away July 13, 2017 at the Cozad Community Hospital at the age of 67. Harvey was born February 22, 1950 at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Harvey 'Gene' and Evelyn (Maret) Walter. He graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1968. During his life, Harvey worked at Monroe Auto, Nebraska Plastics and Paulsen, Inc. He married Cindy Farrell on May 29, 1987 at Stockville, Nebraska. Harvey was a Jack of all Trades. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing and playing pitch. Harvey had a big heart. He loved being with his family and had an easy way of making new friends. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Meester; in laws, Lyle and Loretta Farrell and sister-in-law, Lori Farrell. Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Cozad; nephew Wyatt (Sandy) Meester of Cozad; nieces, Becky (Kevin James) Brooks of North Platte and Heidi DeHarty of Kansas; brother in laws, Dan (Cindy) Farrell of Missouri, Ed Farrell of Grand Island, Mike (Sue) Farrell of New Mexico, Joe Farrell of North Platte, Chris (Terri) Farrell of Lexington and Jesse Farrell of Beatrice; sister in law, Mary (Bob) Mitchell of North Platte, and Susie (Bill) Jones of Iowa; and numerous other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Cremation was chosen.
