Kirk D. Rimpley

June 7, 1957 — August 23, 2017

Kirk D. Rimpley of Cozad passed away August 23, 2017 at the Cozad Community Hospital at the age of 60. Kirk was born June 7, 1957 in Lexington, Nebraska to Clayton and Phyllis (Gaudreault) Rimpley. He grew up in Gothenburg, Nebraska and graduated from Gothenburg High School. Kirk entered the U.S. Marine Corp in 1976 and served for 4 years. He was proud to be a Marine and serve his country. He made a life for himself in Phoenix, Arizona as a Warehouse Flooring Manager. He was eventually transferred to Troutdale, Oregon and Auburn, Washington. Kirk enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, Husker Football, Oregon Ducks, hockey and listening to jazz and country music. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Survivors include his brothers, Kyle Rimpley and wife Tina of Cozad and Kevin Rimpley and wife Pam of Kearney; nieces, Janah Nickel and husband Scott of Kearney and Christina Meyer and husband Zach of Lincoln; nephew Justin Haas and wife Jill of Lincoln; and many aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Memorials are suggested to the family in his name for later designation. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James McCrickard officiating. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.
