Virginia Mae Buss

Virginia M. Buss of Cozad passed away October 11, 2017 at Cozad Care and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 86. Virginia was born October 5, 1931 at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Emil and Mae (Houchin) Kostman. She attended school at Cozad. Virginia met Arthur Buss on a blind date when he was on an Army furlough. They fell in love and were married a year later on November 16, 1946. Two children were born to this union, daughter Judy Rhoadarmer and son Jonathan Buss. Virginia and Arthur had 2 grandchildren, Gregory and Heather Rhoadarmer, whom they adored. Virginia enjoyed her Chihuahuas and doing artwork which included painting and most recently taking up woodworking. Most of all , she enjoyed being with her family and taking care of them in any way she could. Virginia gave her well known "Ginny Mae hugs" to all she encountered and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arthur; and daughter, Judy and sister, Bernita Royer. Survivors include her son, Jon Buss of Cozad; grandchildren, Greg Rhoadarmer of Colorado and Heather Rhoadarmer of Lincoln; brother, Rod Kostman and wife Jackie of Cozad; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cozad Cemetery with Kathy Gundell, PMA officiating. Visitation with closed casket will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 1 to 5 at Berryman Funeral Home.
