Alice R. France of Cozad passed away November 30, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney at the age of 91. Alice was born September 6, 1926 at Binghamton, New York to Charles and Rachael Greenblatt. The family moved to California when she was 3 years old. Alice worked at movie studios after high school. She married Dale Jack at Loup City, Nebraska. Alice settled in Cozad to raise her 3 children. She worked at Monroe Auto for years, as well as waitressing at the Cozad Elk's Club and Gothenburg Legion Club. Alice married Milford France in 1974 and helped raise his 2 sons on a farm North of Willow Island. She was proud of her family and loved them very much. She will be missed by many. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband Milford; daughter Cindy Kuklis; son Pat Jack and brother Art Greenblatt. Survivors include her son Mike and wife Jodi Jack of Texas; sister Marie and husband Mark Lindsey of North Carolina; daughter-in-law Cheryl Jack of Iowa; son-in-law Jerry Kuklis of Cozad; step sons, Scott and wife Jackie France of Gothenburg and Joe and wife Kathy France of Gothenburg; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and other family members and close friends. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jill Boyd officiating.Cremation was chosen. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Friday from 9 to 5 and Sunday from 5 to 7 at Berryman Funeral Home.
