Marjorie A. Kugler of Johnson Lake passed away January 29, 2018 in Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 84. Marjorie was born December 2, 1933 in Eustis, Nebraska to Otto and Sophia (Yeutter) Bartruff. She graduated from Eustis High School. On January 18, 1953, Marjorie married Kenneth Kugler at the Methodist Church in Eustis. The couple were blessed with 3 children, Jane, Scott and Kurt. Marjorie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a seasoned cook and baker, hosting many large family dinners. She was on the 4-H Council, FHA Board and helped with many 4-H projects. Marjorie was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church and assisted with bible school for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lucile Wahl-Anderson and Doris Welle-Hotchkiss; brothers, Vern Bartruff, Robert Bartruff and Otto Bartruff Jr.; infant brother, Lloyd; brothers-in-law, Lorenz Wahl, Leonard Rieker, Harley Anderson, Gilbert Welle, Robert Hotchkiss; sister-in-law, Loraine Bartruff. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of Johnson Lake; children, Dr. Jane Kugler and husband Dr. Douglas Vonderfecht of Omaha; Dr. Scott Kugler and wife Cindy of Kearney and Kurt Kugler and wife Erin of Johnson Lake; grandchildren, Paul and Francine Vonderfecht of Omaha, Thomas Vonderfecht and special friend Susan Stangl of Omaha, William Vonderfecht and fiancé Madison Dahl of Dallas, TX, Stephanie and Doug Ourada of Hastings, Anna Kugler of Williamsburg VA, Dr. Kole and Heather Kugler of Kearney, Tyler and Lindsey Kugler of Johnson Lake, Benjamin Kugler and Ana Tejada of Boston, MA; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Reiker of Gothenburg, Diane and Danny Easterday of Eustis; sister-in-law, Evelyn Bartruff of Eustis. Services will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Eustis with Vicar Kathy Gundell officiating. Burial will follow at East Cemetery, Eustis.
