Jolene E. Griese, age 64 of Cozad, passed away February 20, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri as the result of a semi truck accident. Jolene was born June 7, 1953 in Gettysburg, South Dakota to LeRoy and Theresa (Hoffman) Griese. She graduated from Cozad High School and attended college at UNK. Jolene worked at Monroe Auto in Cozad before moving to Colorado in 1987 to raise her children, Sonja and Jeremy. She spent recent years as a truck driver. Jolene enjoyed fishing and playing games, and spending time at her farm near Hershey, taking care of her animals and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carl Griese; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Griese. Survivors include her son Jeremy Eynetich of Cozad; daughter, Sonja Wright and husband Daniel of Cozad; grandchildren, Aliyah and Aryana Eynetich of Wyoming, Teryn Eynetich and wife Ashlei of North Carolina, Tia Montgomery of Cozad and Jericho Wright of Cozad; great grandchild, Gavyn Eynetich of Odessa; brother, Lynden Griese of Cozad; sister, Linda Mae Tidwell of Colorado; nephew's, Corey Roberts of Colorado and Bobby Griese of Chadron; niece, Tara Armagost of Cozad; and many other extended family and close friends. Services will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James McCrickard officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Lebanon Cemetery near Gettysburg, SD. Visitation will be Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
