Althea Joyce Schroeder

Althea J. Schroeder, age 92 of Eustis, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at Elwood Care Center, Elwood, Nebraska. Althea was born May 21, 1927 to Otto and Elizabeth (DeBoer) Hansen. She was united in marriage to Carroll Schroeder on January 11, 1945. They made their home west of Eustis on the family farm, and later moving into town. They were blessed with 2 children, Carole Elizabeth and Ronald Bruce, 4 grandchildren, Michelle Frazier, Steven Frazier, Mindy (Frazier) Redenbaugh and Christina (Schroeder) Flodman, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Althea worked as a cook at the Eustis-Farnam Public Schools for 25 years. Althea loved to play cards, Scrabble and Sequence. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard Hansen and Lowell Hansen and sister, Dorothy (Hansen) Fiene. Althea is survived by her sister, Lola (Hansen) Debban of Elwood; brother, Donald Hansen of St. Charles, MO; daughter, Carole (Schroeder) Frazier of Cozad; son, Ronald Schroeder of Eustis; grandchildren, Michelle Frazier of Kansas City, MO, Steven Frazier (Lonnie Labens) of Eustis, Mindy (Frazier) Redenbaugh (Mike Vontz) of Eustis and Christina (Schroeder) Flodman (John) of Hoardville, NE; 4 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Family graveside will be held Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Eustis East Cemetery.
