Dennis Kent Toberer

Dennis K. Toberer of Eustis, Nebraska passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 at the Cozad Community Hospital at the age of 78. Dennis was born February 18, 1944 at Lexington, Nebraska to Paul and Edna (Brock) Toberer. He attended Elder Creek Rural District 43 until second grade, then Eustis Public School and graduated from Eustis High School with the class of 1962. Dennis was a member of the Nebraska National Guard from January 6, 1965 to January 5, 1971. He was a member of the Hablitzel and Zwink American Legion Post #257. Dennis was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Eustis where he was baptized and confirmed. He was active with the farm and cattle since his school days. Dennis was as plain as a person could be. He was the family and Eustis historian. He loved to read headstones and knew where everyone was buried. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Donald. He is survived by numerous extended family members and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Eustis Senior Center, Eustis United Methodist Church or American Legion Post #257. Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Eustis United Methodist Church with Pastor Duncan Ibuuri officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Berryman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
