Doris Ann Applegarth

Doris A. Applegarth passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at her home in Cozad at the age of 66. Doris was born October 9, 1957 at Broken Bow, Nebraska to Calvin and Leona (Brisbin) Holland. Doris worked at Tenneco (Monroe Auto) for 25 years. After Monroe Auto, Doris worked at the Grand Generation Center where she enjoyed cooking and meeting the residents.  

 Doris loved her family and friends. She looked forward to the big Easter family event.  Easter always included lots of food, plenty of Easter eggs, water fights and whip cream shenanigans.  Doris loved watching the Huskers.  She liked spending time sitting on her patio enjoying the weather and watching her dog Winston run around.  Doris was a wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, niece and cousin.  She is loved and will be missed by many.  

 Doris was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shannon Williamson; and mother in law, Velma Applegarth.  

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Bill Applegarth; son, Justin Williamson and his wife Danielle; grandchildren, Nicolette, Jakob and Josalynn; brother, Paul Holland and his wife Mary; sisters Joyce Lauer and  husband Randy, Diana Moore and husband Harvey, Merry Romero and husband Tommy and Debbie Moody; father in law, Robert Applegarth; and numerous nieces and nephews.   

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Cremation was chosen and a graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Cozad Cemetery with Rev. Jill Boyd officiating. Berryman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
