Doris Ora Vogt

February 22, 1924 — April 19, 2020

Doris O. Vogt of Cozad passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Emerald Care Center at the age of 96. Doris was born February 22, 1924 at Cozad, Nebraska to Virgil and Sophia (Weiland) Peden. On January 4, 1940, Doris married William Armagost at Elwood, Nebraska. She worked at Monroe Auto Equipment in Cozad from 1966 to 1975. Doris enjoyed working in her yard, keeping up her home and was always rearranging her furniture. She was quite handy around the house, even laying her own tile. Doris enjoyed spending time with friends, attending birthday, quilt and extension clubs and playing bingo. Doris loved family gatherings and doing crafts with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Armagost; son, Dennis Armagost; 2 daughters, Pamela Armagost and Darla Dunn; 3 brothers, Milton, Babe and Donald Peden; and 3 sisters, Wanda Carbaugh, Janice Gibbens and Phyllis Huber.

Survivors include her children, Glenda (Kermit) Debban of Kearney, Delmar (Sharon) Armagost of Cozad, Jerry (Cherie) Armagost of Cozad and Bill (Doris) Armagost of Lexington; son-in-law, Chuck Dunn of Lincoln; 14 grandchildren, Brenda (Tracy) Wolf of Lexington, DeeDee Debban of Kearney, Kandee Nourse of CO, Brandon (Kathy) Armagost of Cozad, Scott Armagost of Cozad, Michele (Tim) Stoddard of TX, Donnie Armagost of TX, Rock (Tara) Armagost of Cozad, Rhonda (Brad) Christner of Cozad, Nicole (Daryn) Holbein of OK, Nathan (ReeAnna) Armagost of Lincoln, Tyler (Holly) Armagost of Syracuse, Heather Dunn of Omaha and Heidi (Fred) Samway of Lincoln; 26 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; sister, Sandy Schnacker of Lexington; brother-in-law, Neil Gibbons of Cozad; sister-in-law, JoAnne Peden of Cozad,; and many other relatives.

Memorials are suggested to the family in her name for later designation. Private family services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the American Lutheran Church with Vicar Kathy Gundell officiating. Private family burial will be at Cozad Cemetery. Berryman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
