Dorothy H. Ingram of Cozad passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at Emerald Care Center at the age of 100. Dorothy was born September 27, 1920 in Cozad Nebraska to Raymond and Hattie Scott. She grew up in Cozad all her life. She met the love of her life Leo, who she called ‘Beetle’ in their younger years, in Cozad. They were married on July 4, 1939. Dorothy was a stay-at-home mother to her son’s while Leo worked as the office manager of the Hay Mill in Cozad. They were married 66 years before Leo’s passing. Dorothy had been active in the Cozad United Methodist Church and Women’s Circle. And one of her favorite things to do was to talk on the phone with her friends and family catching up. Saturday nights were always reserved for a dinner out at the Elk’s club for her and Leo. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Leo; 2 sons, Jimmy and Tom Ingram; 2 brothers, Jack and Bob Scott; and a grandson, Patrick Ingram. She is survived by her sons Doug (Mary) Ingram of Cozad, Richard (Carol) Ingram of South Carolina; daughter-in-law, Patsy Ingram of Katy, TX; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service for Dorothy, along with her son Thomas that passed away December 22, 2020 in Katy, Texas, will be at the Cozad Cemetery on March 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
