Jeanne (McMillan) Hart of Cozad passed away August 31, 2022, at Meadowlark Pointe at the age of 91. Jeanne was born August 26, 1931, in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Cozad High School in 1948. Jeanne was united in marriage to Harry Hart on September 5, 1948. They were married for almost 70 years at the time of Harry’s death. Jeanne and Harry operated a livestock and grain farm near Cozad. They were awarded Cozad Family of the Year in 2005. She was proud of the job as office manager\bookkeeper she did for many years at Haymaker Feeds. Her hobbies included reading, playing bridge, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, needlework and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a Master Gardener and received Yard of the Month awards. Jeanne was a long-time member of Cozad United Methodist church. She was very active on church committees, working at the Thrift Shop and support of Camp Comeca. She enjoyed participating in various organizations throughout her life such as PEO, garden club, Pollyanna club and bridge clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents T. L. “Bud” and Josie (Juelfs) McMillan and her husband Harry L. Hart. Survivors include her daughter Pat (Dave) Gewecke, of Arvada, CO; sons Bruce (MJ) Hart and Jim (Susan) Hart both of Cozad; 7 grandchildren, Eric Gewecke of Omaha, Cheryl Gewecke of Denver, Joel Gewecke (Kivaras Castien) of Shoreline, WA, Natalie (Daniel) Connolly of Colorado Springs, CO, Logan (Kimberly Trembearth) Hart of Pagosa Springs, CO, Emily (Mike) Stinger of Omaha and Elise (Jake) Owens of York, NE; 9 great grand-children, Aedon, Dante, Annabelle, Madelyn, Callan, Clara, Audrey, Atticus and Matilda. Jeanne will forever be known for her gentle smile and kind heart.

Services will be Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 2 PM at the Cozad United Methodist Church with Pastor Jill Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 7 PM with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM at Berryman Funeral Home.
