Kent Alan Morris

Kent Alan Morris, age 64 of Rogersville, Missouri, went to his home in Heaven on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Rogersville Nursing Home after an extended battle with cancer. Kent was born in Cozad, Nebraska to William Morris and Marjorie (Foster) Morris Reed on March 28, 1956. He attended all 13 years of school at Cozad Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1975. He married Donna Fuqua in 1976, div. He married Sonya Jurisch on December 15. 1980, div, and to this union 2 children were born, Nicole Lynn and Aaron Alan. He lived in Cozad until 1982 and worked at Monroe Auto Equipment Company. He and his family moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he worked at Food 4 Less and was trained as a meat cutter. In 1993, he and his family moved to Rogersville, Missouri where he worked at Dillons Food Stores in Springfield, Missouri as a meat cutter. He loved his grandchildren, they were a very special part of his life. His favorite sports that he participated in were bowling, golf and motorcycle racing. He was an avid Cornhusker football fan. His other favorite spectator sports were drag racing, Nascar and pro wrestling. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Archie and Florence Morris and Orval and Frances Foster; father, William Morris; and sister, Terri Morris Brand. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Reed of Cozad; sister, Debra (Duane) Grotelueschen of Omaha; brother, Todd (Linda) Morris of Cozad; daughter, Nicole (Lupe) Gonzalez of Seymour, MO and grandchildren Dakota, Ciera, Hunter and Addison; son, Aaron (Laurena) Morris of Rogersville, MO and grandchildren Truth, Justice, Aeiro, Temperance and Roulette; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to the family in his name for later designation. Cremation was chosen. Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Cozad Cemetery with Harvey Pierce officiating. Berryman Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
