Lydia Sisneros

Lydia Sisneros passed away October 12, 2020 at her home in Cozad at the age of 90. She was born April 20, 1930 in Watrous, New Mexico to Filemon and Zella (Barnum) Fernandez. On Decmber 22, 1951 she married Gilbert Sisneros at Las Vegas, New Mexico. In 1953, the couple moved to Willow Island, Nebraska and then to Cozad, Nebraska in 1989. Lydia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a member of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gilbert; daughter, Laura Archuleta and grandchild, David Archuleta. Survivors include her son, Lloyd (Lynn) Sisneros of Buckeye, AZ; daughters, Shirley Smidt of Owasso, OK and Sharon (Steven) Codner of Gibbon and son, Clyde (Vera) Sisneros of Cozad; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the family in her name for later designation. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Berryman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 am to 2 pm with family present from 1 pm to 2 pm prior to the service.
