Marilyn Rose (Harm, Fiene) Frost, age 80 of Elwood, passed away April 19, 2018 at the Elwood Care Center. Marilyn was born April 21, 1937 in rural Gosper County, Nebraska to William and Rosella (Schinkel) Harm. She grew up in the Salem area southwest of Elwood, Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture at Curtis, Nebraska in 1954. She married Donald W. Fiene in Elwood, Nebraska on June 26, 1955. With this union, they had 5 sons, Ashley, Deon, Kelsey, Kevin and Tyler. They lived in North Platte, Gordon, Lyons, Norfolk and finally moved to Lexington in 1972, following Don's promotions through North Western Bell Telephone Company. They later divorced. Marilyn worked many years for Sixth Street Food Stores in North Platte and later Lexington. Marilyn married Donald R. Frost of Overton, Nebraska on July 17, 1982 in Lexington, Nebraska at Trinity Lutheran Church. They resided on his farm at Overton until moving to Elwood in 2003. With this union came two step children, Carol and Ron. Marilyn enjoyed holidays with family and she really liked taking the grandchildren camping. In her retirement years, she enjoyed working on the five rental properties she owned. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting events until her health declined. She had been a resident of the Elwood Care Center since January 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Frost; ex-husband, Donald W. Fiene; sons, Ashley, Deon and Kelsey; brothers, Norman and Lowell Harm; grandchildren, Jacklyn Dawn Fiene and Riley Allen Fiene; and brother-in-law, Robert 'Bob' Jack and sister-in-law, Marge Schutz. She is survived by 2 sons, Kevin Fiene and wife Mary of Elwood and Tyler Fiene and wife Tracy of Plattsmouth; sister, Sharon Jack of Eustis; daughter-in-laws, Sindy Fiene of Elwood and Sherry Fiene of Gothenburg; sister-in-law, Sharon Kay Harm of Oxford; step children, Carol Frey and husband Curt of Emerson and Ron Frost of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elwood with Pastor Michael Wolff officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery, southwest of Elwood. Visitation will be Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Berryman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
