Marjorie Ruth Timm of Eustis passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE at the age of 89. Marjorie was born December 31, 1931 at Lexington, NE to William and Ruth (Johnston) Bluel. At the age of 3 months, she moved to Eustis, NE with her parents. Marj would say that growing up she helped at the family Bakery and Café “more than she wanted”. She graduated from Eustis Public Schools in 1949. Marjorie married Clarence Wesley Timm on April 8, 1951. The couple lived on the family farm north of Eustis for 40 years before moving to town following their retirement. She was a hands-on farm wife and her love of the farm never left her. Marjorie was a loving wife and mother whose actions spoke louder than words by teaching her children how to cook, clean, sew and dress chickens. Her specialties were being a great hostess, cooking, quilting, a large vegetable garden to can and her beloved flower gardens. No family meal or gathering was complete without her pretzels which were looked forward to by all. She made cherished quilts for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marjorie was a 76 year member of the United Methodist Church and past President of the U.M.W. She was a 4-H Leader and was active with the Hoe and Grow Flower Club, Nonsense Club and Idle A While Extension Club. Later in life she volunteered at the Elwood Care Center, organizing monthly devotions. She especially enjoyed volunteering at the Eustis Sr. Center with countless hours quilting and making noodles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Wilma Sturgeon and brother, Denis Bluel. Survivors include her children, Andrea (Fred) Nisley of Elwood, Patricia Timm of Cozad, Barbara (Dr. Timothy) Lebsack of Hastings, Claire (Dwight) Edson of Gothenburg and Mark (Sherry) Timm of Eustis; grandchildren, Erica (Chris) Jensen, Clay Nisley, Sarah (Jeff) McKeown, Christopher (Jill) Lebsack, Carrie Lebsack, Patrick Lebsack, Ellie (Greg) Cleveland, Megan (Derek) Niklasen, Southern (Austin) Boller and Christian Timm; great grandchildren, Jonah Lebsack, Marjorie Lebsack, Bailea Callison and Callie Cleveland; brother, Gary Bluel of Gothenburg; sister, Ellen Bluel of Kearney; several nieces and nephews; along with many other relatives and dear friends.
