Mark Franklin Britt

Mark Franklin Britt of Gothenburg, Ne, passed away on November 24, 2019 at his home in Gothenburg at the age of 53.  Mark was born October 10, 1966 in Creston, Iowa to Jonny Earl Britt and Frankie Sue (Fender) Britt. He was a graduate of Cozad High School.  Following graduation, Mark worked at Valley Sales as a welder and later worked maintenance at Evans Bakery in Cozad.  Mark loved fishing, hunting and hanging out with friends and family and listening to his country music.  He was known for having a nickname for everyone.  He lived life on his own terms and when he made up his mind on something, that is what he did. Mark was very proud of his job working as an Independent Living Specialist for Independence Raising in Gothenburg.  Mark was always laughing and joking and was always the life of the party.  Mark was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John Anthony Britt, Tommy Earl Britt, Lenard LeRoy Gibbons and nephew Kyle Britt.  Mark is survived by his loving wife, Sue Britt of Gothenburg,  3 daughters, Amy (Jeff) Tappan of Lexington, Amanda (Matt) Welch of Cozad, Dayerna Shedeed of South Dakota, son Lucas Britt of Kearney step son Xaviar McBride of Gothenburg, brother Lonnie (Sue) Britt of Cozad, sister Connie Parrott of Cozad, brothers Marty (Marie) Britt of North Bend, Rick Britt of Corpus Christi, Randy (Irene) Britt of Brady, Willis (Candy) Gibbons of Cozad, Mike (Sonia) Gibbons of Lincoln, 6 grandchildren, Mason, Emma, Destiny, Collin, Mila, Willow, sister-in-law Donna Britt of Johnston, IA and many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Memorials are suggested to CASA or to the family for later designation. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com.  Services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad, NE with Pastor Jill Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, November 29, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home.
