Maurice Boyd Kline of Cozad went to see the Lord, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Lexington Regional Health Center at the age of 73. Maury was born September 30, 1947 at Gothenburg, Nebraska to Boyd and Kathryn (Nilsson) Kline. He grew up in Cozad, Nebraska and graduated from Cozad High School. Maury went on to attend college and Tech School. He worked as a Direct Support Technician at Bethany Home in Holdrege, Nebraska. Maury met and started dating LouAnn Voightlander while working at Bethany Home. The couple were married on September 23, 2000. Maury had never been married, and it took some time to adjust to being in such a large family. He became a father of two married adults and grandfather of five. Maury and LouAnn were happily married for almost 21 years. truly enjoyed his many years working at Bethany Home but was unable to continue after he suffered his first stroke. He then worked at Zook's as an accountant for two years before retiring. Maury was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Kline; brother and sister-in-law's, Cris and Pat Voightlander, Bob Voightlander and Ray Voightlander. Survivors include his wife, LouAnn Kline of Cozad; stepchildren, Heather (Mike) Copass of Cozad and Harold 'Woody' (HyaJin) Morris of WA; grandchildren, Amanda Copass (Aaron Hernandez), Joe Flores, James (Norrisa) Flores, Tanner Flores, Hansel Morris and Henny Morris; great grandchildren, Tegan Heuck, Macie Hernandez, Cora Flores and Ruby Flores; brother and sister-in-law's, Nancy Kline of Lexington, Candy (Jessie) Lewis of CA, Roy (Linda) Voightlander of CA, Kay (Larry) Nichols of Overton, Gale Boswell of Elm Creek, Carol Sager of Cozad, Penny ( Den) Voightlander of CA and Linda Voightlander of CA; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the family in his name for later designation. Services will be Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Susan Sukraw officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Palmer, NE. Visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
