Nancy Jean Lindeman

Nancy J. Lindeman passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at her home in Cozad at the age of 73. Nancy was born September 15, 1947 at Kearney, Nebraska to Roy and Betty (Rickertson) Clark. She grew up in Lexington, Nebraska and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1965. Nancy attended Cosmetology School in Grand Island. In April of 1967, she married Richard Lindeman at the Lexington Presbyterian Church. Nancy and Rich were married for 5 months before Rich was drafted and sent to Vietnam. Their union was blessed with 3 children, Steve, Jacque and Jennifer. Nancy opened and operated a hair salon at their home for many years before moving her shop to downtown Cozad. She loved vacationing in the Black Hills, playing slot machines and going to garage sales to find the next great deal! In later years, Nancy enjoyed making crafts and attending craft shows. Her most treasured times were spent with her grandkids that she loved so much. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cozad. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Chris McCurdy. Survivors include her husband, Richard of Cozad; children, Steven (Lori) Lindeman of Bennet, Jacque (Matt) Yocom of Cozad and Jennifer (Beau) Robertson of Cozad; grandchildren, Lukas and Lauren Lindeman, Jorja and Jax Yocom, Allyson and Kelsey Shotkoski, Maisey and Mack Robertson; 4 sisters, Karen (Frank) Loomer of Columbus, Susan (Chick) DeMoss of Lincoln, Judy (August) Daake of Lexington and Tammy (Scott) Bennett of Raymond; and a host of other relatives and friends.Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Memorials are suggested to Cozad Fire and Rescue. Services will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
