Nicole Lynn Brown

Nicole Lynn Brown, passed away on December 13, 2024 at her home in Kearney at the age of 35. She was born on April 11, 1989 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Timothy and Tammy (Page) Brown. Nicole was an amazing young lady. Her contagious laughter and beautiful blue eyes caught the eye of others. Her friendly, inviting nature softened even less social people.

Nicole was an example to others of how to face challenges. Through perseverance and creativity in her communication, she would be able to get her point across to those who were willing to listen. Her family had the greatest respect for her. She loved to go for walks with her mom, dad and dog Zena. She brought her mother and father together. She was greatly loved by her family and the community that built around her.

Nicole had a strong sense of right and wrong. She learned easiest with the help of family and community. Many of her providers, teachers and community members continued to remain lifelong friends and support. 

She moved to Kearney, Hands of Heartland and she was so very happy there. She volunteered her time cleaning the Children Museum as well as with meals on wheels. 

She went to Hands of Heartland Daysite, which seemed like a great adventure to her. She also would sign to others. It excited her when she was given the opportunity to teach this way of communicating to others. 

She knew and loved Jesus. She would fold her hands nightly with her family. 

Nicole was preceded in death by her father Timothy W. Brown, survived by Tammy S. Brown her mother and siblings Sara A. Brown, Ryan S. Brown, and her extended family and support system. 

Visitation will be held on December 20, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home. This will be followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. the same day and at the same location. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery, Eustis, Nebraska.
