Ralph Leon Keiswetter passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 at his home in Cozad at the age of 79. Ralph was born May 11, 1945 at Cozad, Nebraska to Art and Agatha (Bull) Keiswetter. He graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1963. Following graduation, he attended the University at Lincoln for one year. Ralph served in the U.S. Navy as an Electronic Technician from 1965 to 1969. After the service he went to college in Kearney and received a teaching degree in Math.
Ralph moved to Reno for 6 years. In 1974, he married Sharon Roenfeldt, the mother of his three daughters. They lived in Reno and moved back to Cozad to raise the girls in a small town. Ralph worked at Tenneco Automotive/Monroe until his retirement.
He married Sandy McNulty-Sheets in 1997. Together they enjoyed their many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ralph loved his Lord and was a very faithful servant. He was an active member of Cozad United Methodist Church.
During his retirement his hobby was making canes and walking sticks. He would put a cross on each one. If he saw someone needed a cane, he gave them one.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dallas. He has left to mourn and celebrate his life, wife Sandy of 27 years; daughters, Tysen Keiswetter, Tyrene (Mike) Maack, and Desiree Huertas, all of Cozad; step children, Shelli (Kevin) Gill, Susan Kissell (Troy), Amy (Todd) Bezerra and David (Shauna) Sheets; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved his quiet and gentle heart. Ralph was a giving and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed deeply.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Camp Comeca and Retreat Center. Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Cozad United Methodist Church with Pastor Bellarmee Milosi officiating. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. with family present at Berryman Funeral Home.
